Four things: airport transfers, Srinagar city days, single-route drops, and multi-day chauffeur-driven bookings that cover a whole itinerary in one vehicle. Everything else on this site is one of those four applied to a specific route.
The multi-day booking is the one most visitors end up on. One vehicle and one driver from the arrival pickup to the departure drop, billed per day at a flat rate whether the day is a four-hour transfer, a full sightseeing day or a halt. It is simpler to compare than per-kilometre pricing and it removes the daily negotiation that eats a Kashmir holiday.
The single-route drop is the other common shape — airport to a hotel, Srinagar to Jammu, a Katra connection. You pay for the journey rather than the vehicle’s day. Which of the two is cheaper depends entirely on how many stops you want; more on that on our one-way and return page.
The whole Kashmir valley, the Jammu corridor including Katra, and Ladakh seasonally. Based at Pampore, Pulwama, registered as a J&K excursion agent under JKEA00003597.
Within the valley that means the main circuit — Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg — plus the quieter destinations that need more planning: Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Aharbal, Kokernag, Verinag, and the north Kashmir valleys at Lolab, Bangus and Gurez. Some of those have rough final approaches and a few are seasonal.
Down the corridor we run the Jammu highway, Katra and Vaishno Devi transfers. Over the passes, Srinagar to Kargil and Leh runs when Zojila is open, which is roughly late spring to autumn and never a fixed date. Gurez is seasonal in the same way.
Send the dates, the headcount, the bag count and a rough route on WhatsApp. You get a fixed per-day quote back, usually within minutes. No advance is needed for a quote.
The bag count is the part people leave out and the part that changes the answer. Seat numbers do not tell you what fits: seven people with seven suitcases is not one Innova, and four adults with four large cases is not a sedan. Tell us both numbers and we will say which class works rather than quoting the one you asked for.
Some things are never included, on any service we run. The Gulmarg Gondola (pre-book at jktdc.co.in), pony and sledge rides, ATV rides, entry tickets, and the local union vehicles at the Pahalgam inner valleys, Thajiwas and above Tangmarg in heavy snow.
Fuel, driver, tolls, parking and tax are always included in a day rate.
From ₹2,500 a day for a sedan, ₹2,800 for an Ertiga, ₹3,000 for an Innova and ₹3,800 for a Tempo Traveller — indicative starting fares that move with dates, route and season.
Those are day rates, not per-kilometre rates, and they are flat across transfer, sightseeing and halt days. What varies is the season and the route: a Jammu-side or Ladakh day is priced differently from a valley day because of the distance involved.
Full current fares are on our Kashmir taxi rates page. How the booking process works end to end, including the local rules that apply to every operator here, is in the complete guide to booking a taxi in Kashmir, and the full vehicle list on our fleet page.
No, every booking is chauffeur-driven. Road conditions, union access rules and winter restrictions all need local judgement on the day, which is what the driver is for.
No. Send the dates, headcount, bag count and route and the quote comes back with no advance and no obligation.
Yes — registered J&K excursion agent, JKEA00003597, based at Pampore, Pulwama, running commercially registered vehicles with licensed drivers.
Both, seasonally. The Srinagar–Leh crossing depends on Zojila being open, roughly late spring to autumn, and Gurez is seasonal in the same way. Some Ladakh restricted areas also carry permit limits for foreign nationals.
Yes, and it is the usual arrangement. One vehicle and one driver for the full itinerary, billed per day at a flat rate. It is cheaper than a transfer plus separate day hires and your luggage stays in one car.
We reorder the itinerary rather than cancel it — a Gulmarg day becomes a Srinagar day and moves later in the week. Keeping one spare day in a winter plan is the single best precaution.
