Direct and one-stop flights run Mumbai to Srinagar in roughly three to four hours. Most Mumbai travellers do five to seven days, which covers the core valley comfortably with room for one quieter destination.
Because the flight is short but not trivial, it is worth arriving with the ground transport already arranged rather than negotiating at the airport after a morning flight. Share your flight number when booking — Srinagar arrivals are frequently delayed by weather between December and February.
